Careers
AML and Compliance Analyst
Run the daily work of our AML, sanctions and KYC programme with our Chief Compliance Officer, and get RoyalPay ready for licensed banking partners.
We screen against the OFAC, EU, UK, UN and Canadian sanctions lists every day, keep a written AML and KYC programme, and are preparing banking features that will only ever run under a licensed partner. You will do the daily work of that programme and keep its records audit-ready. You report to our Chief Compliance Officer, who is independent of sales and product.
What you will do
- Review sanctions screening alerts and record each decision with its reason.
- Keep the business-wide risk assessment, the policies and the procedures up to date when the law, a partner or the product changes.
- Prepare the evidence partners ask for in due diligence: policies, records, training logs and test results.
- Help design customer due diligence for the planned banking features, including PEP screening and enhanced due diligence.
- Run and record the yearly AML training for the team.
- Follow regulatory changes in the EU (AMLR and AMLA), the UK, the US and Canada and summarise what they mean for us.
What you bring
- At least three years in AML, KYC or sanctions compliance at a bank, payment or e-money institution, fintech or advisory firm.
- A recognised AML qualification, for example ICA, ACAMS or an equivalent national certificate, or the commitment to complete one in your first year.
- Precise written English at C1 or better.
- Sound judgement and the confidence to say no, with reasons.
Nice to have
- Experience with banking-as-a-service or partner bank programmes.
- Knowledge of FINTRAC or FinCEN requirements.
Contract and pay
This is a remote role for people living in a country of the European Union or the European Economic Area. Royal Payment Solutions, LLC engages you as an independent contractor under a written service agreement, so you need to be registered as self-employed or run your own company in your country, and you take care of your own tax and social insurance. You keep the independence the law expects of a contractor: you organise your own working time within the agreed hours and use your own equipment. If the law of your country would treat this work as employment, tell us before you sign and we will discuss engaging you through an employer of record instead.
The range in this advert is an annual fee in euros for a full-time engagement of about 40 hours a week, before tax and excluding VAT, invoiced monthly in equal parts and paid within 14 days by bank transfer. Where you start in the range depends on your experience and on the interviews.
We never ask about your current or past pay. Equal pay for equal work applies to everyone in the team.

We answer every application, including a no, usually within ten working days.
